PROPOSAL NUMBER ONE AN AMENDMENT, MONETARY JURISDICTION OF CERTAIN COURTS
The proposed amendment to Article 6, Section 15 and 16 of the State Constitution would
increase the monetary jurisdiction of the New York City Civil Court from twenty-five thousand
dollars ($25,000) to fifty thousand dollars ($50,000), and would increase the monetary
jurisdiction of the district court from fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) to fifty thousand
dollars ($50,000), exclusive of interest and cost. Shall the proposed amendment be approved?
