The 2007 NY Libertarian Convention was held in Suffolk County on Long Island on April 28. Officers elected can be found on our Officers page. The 2006 LP National Convention was held in Portland, Oregon. Much of the platform was cut, leaving us with minimal planks and a fresh start. Bill Redpath was elected Chair. New York joins New Jersey and New England again as a region. You can join the LP 7 mailing list to talk with others in the region. The 2008 LP National Convention will be help in Denver, CO over Memorial Day weekend from May 22 to May 26, 2008. For conventions of our affiliates, please contact the affiliates using information from our local chapter meetings page, and also look at our calendar. As of September 18, 2003 you can enroll as a Libertarian when you register to vote. Currently-registered voters can change their party affiliation to Libertarian using this form--in PDF format: print, fill out and mail to your county Board of Elections. (Party changes will not take effect until the next election unless you are a new voter, or moving to a new county.)

The 2005 NY Libertarian Convention was held in Syracuse, NY on April 23. John Clifton was re-elected Chair, and many interesting speakers were featured. The 2004 LP National Convention was held in Atlanta, Georgia at the Marriott Atlanta Marquis Hotel on Memorial Day Weekend, May 27-31.
