Libertarians Rally 10/14 for Bullied Church

The Libertarian Party of New York will rally with the members of St. Luke's Pentecostal Church and other concerned people on Saturday, October 14th from 11am-12:30pm at the State Supreme Court building, Supreme Court Drive, Mineola, corner of County Seat Drive. Info: 5l6/746-5769.

The Town of North Hempstead seized the church's building site as part of their urban renewal plan. A member of the Town Zoning Board said "We have enough churches here in New Cassel." The town is paying $80,000 for a property that the church paid $130,000. The Church wants to renew the community and the building with "God's plan and their money" instead of the "Town's plan and the taxpayers' money."

If you have Harry Browne or Libertarian Party signs please bring them and their bumperstickers to hold up for the cameras and the crowd. State Law prohibits signs on sticks.
