The Brooklyn Libertarian Party participated actively in the 2009 elections in New York City, delivering more signatures on nominating petitions than the four other boroughs combined, and getting onto the ballot more local candidates (for borough president and City Council) than the four other boroughs combined. The Manhattan Chapter (which presently includes the Bronx and Staten Island) meets on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Ukrainian East Village Restaurant, 140 Second Avenue @ 9th Street. We try to keep the business part of the meeting short to leave as much time as possible for interesting speakers and discussion. Food and drinks of all varieties are available for purchase.
