2006 LP Candidates
How to help financially

In 2006, the LPNY is fielding a full slate at the statewide level. We need your help campaigning! Please contact a candidate near you to volunteer to help.

NY* John Clifton and Donald Silberger are our candidates for Governor and Lt. Governor, respectively. Please see the Clifton/Silberger '06 website

NY* Chris Garvey of Amityville won our nomination for Attorney General. Chris Garvey for AG

NY* John Cain of Congers won our nomination for State Comptroller. News Release

NY* Jeff Russell of Clifton Park won our nomination for US Senate. RussellForSenate.org

NY* Dr. Steve Finger of Brooklyn is our candidate for Congress in the 11th district, on both the Republican and Libertarian ballot lines. www.fingerforcongress.org

NY* Michael Sylvia of Central NY is the Libertarian candidate for Congress in the 24th district, which will have no incumbant. www.mikesylvia.org

NY* Eric Sundwall of Columbia County was endorsed by the Hudson Valley and Capital District Libertarian parties for the 20th Congressional District. He collected signatures, he campaigned hard. His signatures were challenged on the basis of too many voters entering their towns from their postal address, not their proper incorporated township. Legal recourse is still being considered. Please offer them your encouragement, and let us know if you are interested in running as a Libertarian this year or in the future.

For statewide candidates, nomination is made at our convention. If the district in question is entirely outside of any county represented by a chapter, then it is the state committee who needs to make the endorsement, otherwise it is any and all chapters contained within the district.
