The LP's statewide candidates were selected on April 13 at our annual convention, which was held in Rochester this year. Press release

Scott Jeffrey for Governor!

This was Scott's third run as a Libertarian candidate. Scott runs on a message of legalization of marijuana and empowering youth in politics. He runs the website legalize.com when he's not working at his "day job" or campaigning for Libertarian office. More information can be found at votejeffrey.com.

Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism student work features several pieces on Scott.

Jay Greco was our candidate for Lt. Governor and James Eisert for State Comptroller. Daniel Conti, Jr. of Suffolk County ran for Attorney-General--he also ran in 1998, and garnered almost the vote difference between Vacco and Spitzer.

LPNY members on other lines in 2002

New York allows candidates to appear on more than one line on the ballot--we call it fusion. Due to petitioning hurdles, some candidates could only get on the ballot on other party's lines.

* Jak Karako is on the Conservative line for Assembly as well as the Libertarian line.
*Chris Garvey is on the Conservative Party line for a Judgeship in the Bronx.
*Robert Goodman is running for State Senate (District 33, the Bronx) on the Republican and Conservative lines.
*Charles Eames is on the Independence line for State Assembly (District 130, Rochester)

Your vote for them is appreciated!
