| |||
| United States Sentate: Bill McMillen |
Attorney General: Dan Conti
|
Yes, there is a choice if you don't want to vote for Chuck Schumer OR Al D'Amato. Bill McMillen is the alternative you're looking for. Libertarians bring a principled approach to the full breadth of issues facing us at the national and local levels. Bill works as a C.P.A. in Delmar. |
Dan has his own law practice in Hemptstead, NY. You want a fair and balanced candidate who will apply sound principles to the administration of justice. more info about Dan
| ||
| Comptroller: Robert Goodman |
State Supreme Court Judge: Ira Raab
|
Robert has his Ph.D. in biochemistry. But it doesn't take a Ph.D. to see through the current state government's M.O. of funding projects their friends benefit from, and that you are obligated to bail out when the economy turns sour. As comptroller, Robert would stop up the loopholes that greedy state senators abuse.
|
Ira is a member of the Libertarian Party and has our endorsement, although you'll find him running on another party's line. He's running in District 10.
| ||
| State Senator: Tom Hamilton |
State Senator: Andre Soleil
|
Tom's also on the ballot line of another party, but he's a fellow Libertarian.
District 23, please extend your support to him on Election Day.
|
Andre is a fusion candidate--you find him on the ballot under more than one party, including the Libertarians! Andre is running in District 18.
| ||
| State Assembly: Bibi Soleil |
State Assembly: Bruce Martin
|
Another fusion candidate, Bibi is running for Assembly on the Libertarian line in District 50.
|
Bruce lives and works in the third district, Suffolk County, which he hopes to
represent next year in Albany.
more about his candadacy...
| ||
| Suffolk County Clerk: Adele Bolger |
Town Council: John Bloom
|
Come out on November 3rd and show your support for Adele!
|
John's running in the town of Brookhaven, NY.

| The War on Drugs | The government has spent billions of your dollars in the War on Drugs, and drug use has actually increased. Libertarians believe that prohibition is a mistake, and our candidates would enact legislation to legalize intrastate commerce in hemp and hemp products. (more info) | ||
| Gun Control |
We believe that the balance of power has been shifting to the criminals with the governemnt's assistance ever since 1911. We'd repeal the Sullivan Law or defeat it administratively.
| Taxes |
New York State spends 41% per capita more than the average state. The most intrusive tax is the income tax. The most regressive is the sales tax. All these taxes impede the economy of New York and diminish the welfare of New Yorkers.
| Business |
Libertarians believe that people have a right to associate, organize, contract, and to withhold their work (strike) as a bargaining tool. They have a right to non-violently demonstrate their grievances (picket). They have a right to advocate selective purchasing (boycott). We believe in freedom of contract and of speech. We believe that businesses have a right to compete in a free and fair market, and that consensual business contracts are the key to a prosperous economy.
| Education |
Before government schools the illiteracy rate in the Northeast was 2 to 6%. Today it's much higher, and the cost of this poorer job of education is much higher. Today's government schools cost too much and often fail to teach.
| Environment |
The way to help the environment is to keep the government away from it. Nuisance law once allowed any landowner to sue and stop the noxious activities of his neighbor. But 19th century courts started balancing property rights against the "benefits" of industrialization, and your right to a clean environment was compromised. Procedural hurdles to class actions against polluters were erected.
