Pride Fest

This usually occurs in late June--a wonderfully colorful parade wending down Christopher Street, culminating in a exuberant street festival. Zev has arranged booths in years past, but may not be available this year--hop on the LPNY Activists List to talk about doing a booth there.

See the LPNY libertarian and outreach events calendar, and if you're in luck, it's been updated for this year. If not, please send mail to Bonnie with all the details you know about upcoming events. Upstate areas have their own Pride days and weeks, so if you miss one, please consider finding another to attend, elsewhere in the state.

Remember to ask for contact info from people who score as libertarians (opt-in!), and let your county chair or a state committee members know, so they can tell you how to send in a database update--it's not hard.

Thanks...also check out info on the Marriage Equality Act. While we'd rather see gov't out of the marriage business entirely, and not legislating special perks that go along with a special word...as long as they do that, let's play fair. Let's recognize civil unions from other states, and urge them to do likewise with ours, when we get one.
